Victorian Base Mouldings

Our Victorian baseboard corners are another result of a customer request that turned into a standard.  We were sent a photograph and a plea.  Can you please make these for us?  It was yet another situation where people bought some corners for their house at a local lumber yard and when they went back for more after an addition to their house were told that they are no longer available.  We had the tooling and went to work, after which we thought HEY these are pretty cool, let's add them to the site.  Even though our original customer didn't need plinth blocks, we knew that there would be a demand so we had to come up with something.  Due to the size of the bead profile at the top of the corners, it wouldn't be an option for the plinth blocks as it would require too much base thickness.  So, we decided to go with just the v-gooove and when you top it with the casing it looks like it belongs there.  Prices shown are for poplar, unprimed.

Victorian Base Corners

The Victorian outside base corner has a 3/8" fillet cut to wrap around your standard oustide drywall corner beads.  Inside and outside corners should be between 1/16" and 1/4" thicker than the baseboard, as desired, and at least 1-1/2" taller.

*This would be the thickness at the "shoulder" of the corner where the baseboard meets.

Victorian Plinth Blocks

Victorian plinth blocks should be at least as wide as your casing, or a little wider, and at least 1-1/2" taller than your baseboard.  They should be at least 1/16" thicker than the thickest trim, be it the baseboard or casing.  If you are also using rosette blocks, the Tradtional bullseye or Designer styles without any edge profile work best.
